Painting and Pete

This week we continued reading about Pete the Cat, this week our story was “Pete the Cat, I Love my White Shoes” the story is written by Eric Litwin, with art by James Dean. The theme of self-regulating and processing emotions when we get upset was a big part of this book, similarly to last week’s book about Pete and his groovy buttons.

It has been a pleasure to see your children enjoy Pete and all that he has to teach us about taking care of our feelings and working hard to have a positive attitude and response when things may not go our way!

We put our reading to good work this week with some foot and shoe themed artwork. We stopped our feet in some paint, that was very exciting! We also water colored shoe laces and tied them to our very own colorful shoe pictures. Never a dull moment here at the Trinity Toddler Center! Here are some photos from our week!
