Wow, thank you for your patience, as I know it has been a while since there has been a new blog update on the comings and goings of our classroom here at Trinity Preschool!
Backtracking a bit, it was so fun to see you all at the Fall Carnival, and the different costumes and characters that your children embraced. Hopefully Halloween and all of the candy didn’t take too much of a toll on you at home.
We have been enjoying some fall crafts these past few weeks, which included making birdfeeders, playing with pumpkin insides and decorating both pinecones and pumpkins!
Last week we read “I Want my Hat Back” by Jon Klassen. Simply put, a bear losing his beloved hat, he wants it back, which he eventually succeeds at, seemingly, stealing or garnering it back from rabbit. However, the illustrations and cliffhanger tone of the book create a humor that is drawn out. It was so fun to introduce this book to our class last week, and engage with your children in the journey of bear to simply get back his hat.
I loved last week’s activities and curriculum for this book; we made our own hats, just like bear and rabbit! We also took to creating our own collaborative bear and rabbit, they were drying last I checked on them but I am hoping to put them up soon, so your children can admire their work!
